Football Gold Coast and Barber Bros & Co. have partnered for the upcoming senior finals series in an exclusive deal.
Having previously partnered throughout the 2015 season, both entities have now joined forces yet again with the upcoming finals series kicking off this weekend in the Premier League.
With two shops located in Isle of Capri and Broadbeach, Barber Bros. have serviced the Gold Coast since 2013 with expansion on the horizon yet again in the coming years.
The deal sees the barbershops hold exclusive naming rights for the finals series as well as servicing the Man of the Match awards for both the Premier League and Coast League semis and finals.
Emir Kanalic (one of the three owners) said it was a no brainer to partner with Football Gold Coast for the finals.
“All three owners love football and it was an easy decision for us to come back on board to partner for the finals series,” said Kanalic.
“Our two shops have serviced a lot of players and parents throughout the years so we thought it was the perfect timing to give back to the local community in a sport that we love,” said Kanalic.
Apart from the senior side of the agreement, Barber Bros. & Co will also be heavily involved within the junior space for the 2021 finals also.
“We have generally always been involved in the senior landscape on the Gold Coast but we want to ensure that the next generation are also looked after within our agreement,” said Kanalic.
Football Operations Officer Alan Marquez said the agreement with Barber Bros. & Co is just the beginning of what is hopefully a long partnership between the two.
“When we first partnered with Barber Bros. & Co the promotional side of our game was nowhere near what it is today. Both of us now have the resources and expertise to give our audience the best possible outcomes from the agreement,” said Marquez.
“We hope that this is just the first piece in a long and fruitful relationship between us all.”
The deal will also see the extended football community offered a healthy discount when visiting the two shops adding further value for the wider Gold Coast football family.
“Our biggest task was finding a good balance to ensure that everyone involved with football on the Gold Coast will benefit from the relationship we have developed. By offering a discount for all haircuts it will allow anyone involved in the world game the opportunity to get a quality haircut at a good price,” said Kanalic.
The Premier League finals series is set to begin this weekend with two legs scheduled for each of the semi-finals.
The first legs will see league champions Surfers Paradise Apollo taking on 4th place Southport at Ashmore Village Park at 3pm before the late 6pm kick off sees Nerang Eagles take on Palm Beach at Duncan McKenna Field.
