We are back in action across the Gold Coast in the Premier League and Coast League with shortened rounds to restart the competition. Here is the full preview of what is to come!
Surfers vs Runaway Bay- Sat 3pm @ Lex Bell Oval
Surfers look to get back in the winners circle when they host Runaway Bay at Lex Bell Oval. The home side lead the competition upon the restart and will be hoping that rust is not a major factor heading into the final push for the league title. Runaway Bay have a tricky run in for the remainder of the season however are more than capable of causing problems for all teams.
Nerang vs Robina- Sat 3pm @ Bob Jeffrey Field
Nerang will be looking to maintain pace at the top of the table with Surfers when they take on bottom placed Robina City in their first match back. The home side will be missing a contingent of first grade players who have departed overseas for college however with the depth the Eagles pose should make light work of the struggling City who are yet to take all three points out of a game this season.
Burleigh vs Palm Beach- Sat 6pm @ Pizzey Park
Palm Beach will be looking to push on and keep their good run of form intact when they travel to take on Burleigh in the late kick off. The home side have had a turbulent year riddled with injuries however will be hopeful of putting on a prideful performance in front of their fans.
Southport vs Musgrave- Sun 3:15pm @ Ashmore Village Park
The Warriors will be out to secure finals football for the first time since 2012 when they take on neighbours Musgrave in the Sunday kick off. Southport could be looking at their final game of the regular season against the Mustangs and will be hoping to finish with a bang against the men in orange.
Legends vs Musgrave- Friday 8:10pm @ Keith Hunt Park
Legends will be eager to get derby spoils and maintain their position in the Coast League when they take on their closest opponent Musgrave on Friday night. The experienced veterans have had time to rest in the last few weeks and know the challenges they face heading into the final few rounds.
Nerang vs Tallebudgera- Saturday 5pm @ Glennon Park
League champions Tallebudgera Valley come up against one of the high flying young teams in the competition in Nerang on Saturday afternoon. The home side will be eager to continue their push for finals football when they take on the champions in a busy day at Glennon Park.
Ormeau vs Mudgeeraba- Saturday 5pm @ Norfolk Park
Mudgeeraba will know the importance of picking up maximum points for their run home against Ormeau away from home on Saturday evening. The visitors are in a tight battle for finals positions and will be hoping to put themselves right in the mix as we head towards the business end of the season.
